STEP 01
Use any Stellar address to send at least 100,000 AFR to the Stellar FX wallet address, retrieve JWT, and access API for 30 Days. Send more than 100,000 AFR and access period is pro-rated.
STEP 02
After payment is sent, use the /claim-access endpoint once to retrieve a JWT token that lasts for the duration that you paid for. Lost JWTs can be re-retrieved
STEP 03
Once you have retrieved your JWT, use your Stellar address, the JWT and API parameters currency (USD) and type (fiat|stellar|crypto) to retrieve exchange rates

Exchange rates and cryptocurrency prices freshness depend on the asset type you are looking up. For fiat currencies and non-Stellar cryptocurrencies, prices are updated every 15 Minutes. For Stellar assets, prices are updated every 5 Minutes
Stellar FX and Afreum make no warranties on the correctness or freshness of the prices quotes delivered by the Stellar FX API. Fiat currency and broader cryptocurrency rates are retrieved from multiple sources and we believe that they are an accurate representation of current prices. Stellar asset prices are retrieved directly from the Stellar Decentralized Exchange DEX, and reflect the last traded price of those assets. While these prices are the same prices used by the Afreum ecosystem, we do not recommend their use in mission-critical applications where inaccuracies could cause material losses in your application.

We offer 3 Stellar FX API servers, which will accept your Stellar address and JWT for access to rates data. In the event that one of those servers is inaccessible you may retry another. We monitor external data sources constantly and can switch to backup sources as needed. We also highly recommend that you have a backup rates endpoint that you can switch to if all Stellar FX API servers are unreachable.
